Who is Melanie Martinez?

She is an American singer, songwriter and producer, this year turns 27 years old. 

Her full name is Melanie Adele Martinez.

She dated Oliver Tree (2019-2020) and Michael Keenan (2015-2018).

She´s bisexual.

Her musical style encompasses independent genres such as indie folk, dream pop and alternative pop. 

Melanie is known for her two-tone hair similar to that of Disney character Cruella de Vil. She dyed it that way a little before giving his audition in The Voice so she would consider it «almost a crime» to change it. The singer only dyes the right side of her hair and would not want to have everything of the same color. As her music has a very close relationship with her visual style, Martinez dresses with doll heads, hairy things, lace stockings, Peter Pan dresses with necks, bottles and more.

Her fandom name is "Crybabies".

 
                 

Her parents are Jose Martinez and Murcy Martinez in the past Murcy Vargas also she has 1 brother named Joseph Martinez. 

She had a bunny named Whiine when it dies dhe make a tatto of it.

Now, she has a dog and its name is Pebbles.

Melanie Martinez was born in April 28th in 1995 in New York (United States). 

Even as a child she liked to write, according to her parents Melanie write her ows poems in kindergarten. At 14 she taught herself to play guitar. During her studies, she met a singing teacher who gave her a taste for music, then she begins to consider a career as a singer.

In 2012, she took part in the MSG Varsity Talent Show, but she was eliminated in the second round. After that she participated in the season 3 of the American edition of The Voice, she was the sixth finalist. 

 

After this experince she really get into the music. She worked on her first "Doll house"single as a sing-songwriter for almost 2 years. On February 9th 2014 it was realese.  In the same year on April 7th she singed a contract with Atlantic Records.  Time later she made a second single "Carousel". It was certified gold by the RIIA, also it is use as the soundtrack in one of the trailers of the four season of FX´S.

Melanie Martinez took advantage of this popularity to go on a big concert tour in 2015. During the summer, she released her first album called "Cry Baby". This is a very innovative concept, where the young woman wrote her songs in reference to an invented character called "Cry Baby". 

This album is very popular with the public and reaches 6th place in the Billboard rankings upon its release.

She collaborates with the brand Lime Crime to create two lipsticks and creates her own perfume, the Cry Baby Perfume Milk. 

In 2016, Melanie Martinez released a second EP, "Cry Baby Extra Clutter", featuring bonus songs from the album and a track recorded especially for Christmas. 

In 2017, Melanie Martinez announced to the press and her fans that she was dedicated to writing and filming her own musical film.

She posts "k-12" on youtube, which is both a feature film and a musical album,

I realy admire her for her songs have a vibe that I don’t know how to explain but I like, the lyrics, the sound and even her voice make her songs amazing. One thing I really like is that it knows how to express itself in the lyrics and convey emotions while singing. And the fact that her songs have some reality and some of his past is better.
